Transport and delivery of tank parts for the new RWE powerplant. Our work constisted of delivering  parts with a diamter of 900CM and a height of 600CM from Hengelo, Netherlands to Hamm Uentrop, Germany.  The parts were loaded on an inland vessel whereafter they were shipped to Germany. From there it was driven to its final destination and installed on the powerplant.

SCS HLT was awarded to coordinate all exceptional transports from a turbine, generator and other parts across Europe to Spain. Once in Spain we used our heavy lifting equipment as well as rollers and jacking equipment to install the machines, resulting in a brand new powerplant.

    • The vessels weighing upto 165tons and measuring 45 meters in length were jacked up with our computerized synchro push up device. The modular trailers were positioned under the vessels and we drove during the night to the roro location. Next morning we drove on the pontoon, sailed to Antwerp and both vessels were loaded on the mv Iwami. The Iwami sailed to Korea, their final destination.

    New record in exceptional transport in Holland! Reloading, trucking and shipping of eight vessels 950cm diam and 700cm height.

    It was said to be impossible!!……..

    But on Saturdaymorning the 26th of May, SCS Heavy Lifts & Transports BV has set a new record for the biggest roadtransport in 2007!

    Tankparts of each 950cm in width and 740cm high were shipped from Hengelo to Drachten, and driven from Drachten to Emmen.
    Some facts:

    • Over 625 man hours preparing the job
    • Street furniture was removed on nearly 30 parts of the route
    • 27 companies or organizations have cooperated or were participating
    • A new record by SCS HLT!!
